Appendix DThe Gospel in the StarsThe Moving Pole StarBecause of the precessionary wobble of the Earth's axis, throughout the last 6,000 years different stars in different northern constellations have served as the "Pole Star". Polaris will not remain the pole star, either. The drawings below illustrate the way the northern constellations have appeared when the pole star was on different stars.
