Prelude to Persecution

Women are coming forward speaking up about past sexual abuse.

As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.  (Isa_3:12)

A snow ball has been rolling that continues to get larger. The #MeToo movement has encouraged women of all ages to speak up about past sexual abuses. From what I have read so far in the news, the #MeToo movement seems to be mostly pagan women, not believing women, although more and more Christian women are also speaking up, too.

Larry Nasser molested Olympic gymnasts

I am a gymnastics coach. Larry Nassar was a trusted Olympic physician who took advantage of underage women who, naively believed that his finger b-nging them was actually an “interior digital massage”. The pervert is a sexual predator who deserves to be locked up. Those young girls who are now adult women are part of the #MeToo movement and are a mixture of Christian women and feminists. Nor would I say that these gymnasts hate men, for several of them are married and have children.   But I am concerned that the #MeToo movement is a double edged sword that, on one side, addresses perverts who need to be indicted and locked up, but on the other hand,  false accusations might be too easily accepted  simply because so many women have been abused.

Coaching gymnastics is like walking on eggshells now.  Every physical contact with a female student is scrutinized and questioned making spotting extremely difficult. Most of the USAG leaders resigned.  Mothers are telling their daughters not to trust anyone, so the slightest accusation is taken so seriously that no male coach can simply relax and be normal around the girls.

Right now, in the USA, any child that makes an accusation of inappropriate behavior opens the door for grand jury indictment. This happened to me 20 years ago in a gym where I coached gymnastics. A gymnast accused me of – I don’t even know what since they never told me – and yet, I never coached her or worked with her at any time since she was not my student. The grand jury threw the case out because there was no evidence at all. Nonetheless to be able to continue coaching I had to spend $1500 to expunge the record. I see this as a potential  consequence of the #MeToo movement.

Harvey Weinstein Hollywood producer used the casting couch

Hollywood is greatly responsible for the immorality of our nation. Harvey Weinstein used his position of power to seduce a multitude of starry eyed young women who wanted fame and fortune.  He has been accused of raping some, of which he denies.

And many of these women in Hollywood are just as immoral as the men in Hollywood.

In the film industry the “casting couch” is well known and any woman seeking fame and fortune should already know about it. Indeed, many women have been willing to pay the price of the “casting couch” because they esteemed fame and fortune more valuable than their chastity.

But this is not true for all stars. Take Ashley Judd’s story as an example. She did refuse Harvey Weinstein’s advances and she believes it hurt her career. She says that Weinstein cautioned other directors about hiring her. She believes that Peter Jackson turned her down for a part in the Lord of the Rings movies. Regarding Jackson, the article says, “Jackson apologized for playing any unwitting role in the damage done to the women’s careers, and the lawsuit is quick to absolve him of any wrongdoing.”

Someone I was talking to said this to me.

I have been working with a client for whom porn has become a major problem. In doing so, I reviewed an article in Psychology Today reporting on the incidence of porn viewing by American males. It was based on analytics from one of the largest porn sites as to its viewers. The percentage of American males watching porn was staggering. But, perhaps, the most curious thing in the article I read was that when the numbers are disaggregated by geography, viewers from the so-called “Bible Belt” stay on that porn sites longer amounts of time than those from other areas of the country. If that is true, what are we to make of that?

Hollywood influences the Church more than the Church influences Hollywood. The immorality in the world is deliberate on the part of the globalists who own the media and Hollywood. Christians are shocked to see the blatant homosexuality and lesbianism on TV today,  but have grown numb to the immoral fornication of heterosexuals and filthy language spoken on TV. The writers, producers and directors all know that the constant barrage of immorality will soon become acceptable to the mainstream and the Church. Where is the outrage by the Church against Hollywood?

They know full well that they are the driving the immorality. It is deliberate, and those women who go along with it for fame and fortune are no better than prostitutes. And, I might add, all of us men, including Christian men, who watch them are no better than Johns.

But consider, too, ordinary women who are grossly naive regarding men and follow the Hollywood example of dress. These are many of the women who make up the #MeToo movement. The longing in women for male love and affection subconsciously directs how they dress and behave. Many do not know that physical affection from a man can be completely devoid of love and is merely self gratification on the man’s part. Which, of course, is also wrong but the reality of the fallen world.

Please understand me. I do not approve of men groping women at any time when it is rejected by the women. Also there are criminal sexual acts that require prosecution. Rape, date rape, child molestation, sex slavery are all examples.

But we are deep into the gray area now between unsolicited advances and the mating game. I am not speaking of Christians, right now. I am acknowledging the lost in the fallen world. All men want to grope all women. That is a reality of the fallen world. And in the flip side, all women want to be touched in a sense of being loved. Regrettably for many unsaved women, they substitute sex for love and consent to such encounters in mistaken desire.

Porn has to be removed from the world. But it did not show up in a vacuum. There are globalists who create that porn to destroy societies. A UN statement I read years ago, (1990’s, and I don’t have the document archived anymore) laid out the plan for a global government. As long as families are strong, they said, they will always be loyal to their neighborhood and local communities first. Then they may be loyal to their state or provincial governments, federal governments and last would be the international government. Destroy families and they no longer have local loyalties but are more easily directed to larger loyalties of national or international rule.

If porn makers were only interested in profit, porn would not be free on the Internet. Yes there is pay for porn, and some free porn is used as bait to get you to pay, but the truth is, there is so much free porn online there is no need to pay for it. So why is there so much free porn? Logic says profit is not the primary motive.   The #Metoo movement will not end pornography.

Porn star Stormy Daniels is suing the President

There is another consideration. While the first responsibility lies with men to reject porn. The oldest profession in the world, prostitution, would not exist if women refused to be whores or porn stars. Please understand, I know that many women are forced into such activities by being beaten and drugged. Porn is part of the sex slave trafficking crime that is rampant world wide, and Trump is going after them below the radar. But look at Stormy Daniels. She is a porn star in it for fame and fortune. Her payment to remain silent is now going to bite her in the rear as Trump sues her for breach of contract.  Yes, porn needs to be removed, but it begins by men not viewing it and women not participating in it.

The Swamp

Anthony Weiner, married to Huma Abadin, sex-texted teen.

To make matters worse, our government is rife with perverts.  There are honest politicians who have been compromised, slipping into the temptation of a “honey trap” which was videotaped to black mail them.  Then there are true perverts, like Anthony Wiener currently in prison for sexting a teen age girl. Worse than that there are politicians that are actually satanists and seek to destroy our government.  Pedophilia and sex slave trafficking is endemic world wide and infects both the political and corporate leaders in our country and around the world. It is so bad that President Trump signed an executive order on December 21st, 2017, based upon the Magnitsky Act, authorizing the Treasury Dept to confiscate the assets of known human rights violators.

Dead flies cause the ointment of the apothecary to send forth a stinking savour: so doth a little folly him that is in reputation for wisdom and honour. Ecc_10:1

Bill Cosby admitted to date-raping.

Take Bill Cosby as an example. Here is a man whose reputation has truly been shattered.  There was no proof he had date raped that woman. Why was he convicted, then? Because he admitted that he had done so. Am I defending Cosby? Not at all. He admitted it and he deserves the punishment. I am glad he is going to jail, although I am saddened his past work is now in the toilet because he made many wholesome shows.  Now the value of these family shows  will be lost by all who know of his crime. I know I will not be able to watch  his show without thinking that he is a scum bag.   He is now in his 80’s and his wealth (almost half a billion dollars) will also be drained from his family’s inheritance.  But his crime, and it was a crime, happened decades ago.

I think it is very dangerous the way courts are responding to the movement. Women are coming up and making accusations that go back 20 and 30 years. Instead of adjudicating on evidence of facts, they are accepting accusations.  But if they are rich and famous, they are now targets of lawsuits. This is not healthy for our society. As Isaiah said, we will become a people who have children as oppressors and women shall rule over us by the backing of the judicial system.

Tom Brokaw has been accused of groping co-workers.

Now consider Tom Brokaw the NBC anchor.

Mary Reinholz, the third woman to come forward with allegations. She claims that her unwanted encounter with Brokaw occurred approximately 50 years ago, after he had helped her with a story she was writing.” New York Magazine May 1, 2018.

50 years ago! Are you kidding me! In his case he has committed no crime, although his encounters were unwanted. This is judicial absurdity to even consider these allegations.

This is a bad precedent. As I said not all Christian men have been Christians all their lives.  Again, unwanted advances are wrong, but for singles looking for a mate, the dating game is just that: flirtation that sets up the potential for crossing the line.

But the accusations made against many of these men are unwanted groping. That is not a crime, yet their lives are being damaged now because of youthful indiscretions. Many Christian men can now be persecuted for foolish behavior done before Christ helped them to know better. Accusations are not evidence. Yet our judicial system is now taking accusations as equal to proof.

My fear is not for me but for the Church. Persecution is part and parcel of being a Christian as history shows. What about a Christian wife with children. And her husband that became a Christian later in life and had his own indiscretions that is used against him causing him to lose his job. The wife and children suffer, too, even though God has forgiven him for his past. This is not just about men, it is about society.

Just to be clear, I agree that inappropriate sexual contact is always wrong. My concern is legal precedent of the #MeToo women dredging up that behavior 20 and 30 years ago. A trap is being created that is dangerous for Christian men who before salvation may have engaged in some inappropriate behavior, of which they have repented and been forgiven by God.

No Such Thing as Grassroots

Hungarian Jew, George Soros, is a billionaire who finances movements to disrupt countries.

The #MeToo Movement seems to be a grass roots swell. This is only partly true. The reality is that there has never been a true grass roots movement that continued on its own momentum. All grass roots have someone behind it that steers and guides it, and ultimately finances it.

The #MeToo Movement has many women with genuine cause to come forward.  But this was encouraged by George Soros as he has underwritten the #MeToo Movement to create a national climate to unseat President Trump.  This is not the only thing he has financed.  He has financed the Women’s March, Black Lives Matter,  and Antifa.

Even Stormy Daniels has  acknowledged on Twitter that she is not paying for her lawyer.  I have no doubt that Soros is financing her, too.

The Need for Grace, not the Law

Laws are not the answer. Laws have their place, of course. Paul told Timothy that the Law was made for the lawless (1 Tim. 1:9). However, Moses in the Psalms asked,

“Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?” (Psalm 94:20).

The answer is living the Gospel, then preaching it. Too many preach the Gospel but do not live according to the Spirit of God. Their testimony is despised and rejected by the lost. This failure is found in two things.

First a “sloppy agape” view of grace. Grace is not license to sin. It is power to overcome sin. Yet many Christian men and Pastors are caught up in pornography, fornication and extramarital affairs.

Second is a church system that causes the congregation to assume the responsibility to engage the lost belongs to the paid staff. The Great Commission belongs to all believers. But more is caught than taught. People who preach the Gospel while not living the Gospel are despised and rejected. American Christianity, (and dare I say, world wide?) has become salt that lost its savor and is being trampled upon by the very people who need it most.

Someday this precedent of adjudicating accusations that go back decades is going to be used against Christian men as a form of persecution.  We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God,. The blood of Jesus cleanses us from those sins.   All men are guilty to some degree of taking advantage of women, and all women are guilty of some other thing which is why Christ calls us to forgive one another just as He has forgiven us.

I heard of a study a while ago of doctors whose malpractice harmed patients.  In the study they discovered that most injured patients only sue because the doctors deny all wrong doing.  When doctors admitted their mistakes and asked for forgiveness, lawsuits were dropped.  The patients simply wanted the doctors to show remorse for their error.

For Christian men who took advantage of women before they were saved,  shouldn’t they also apologize to those women?  All the men in this article, never apologized until after they were convicted.  What would have happened if they apologized long before they were arrested?
